Do You Like the Snow in Sussex, or Maybe Prefer a Safari in Kenya - You Choose
The first snow of winter 2009 has finally arrived! Even down here in the South of England where we don’t normally get more than a few flurries, it has already started to settle. The kids are all excited because it could mean the end of the school term a few days early! Mind you it’s not just the kids who enjoy the snow. I am heading towards my mid 40’s and I still get a thrill with the first snowfall of winter.
If only it had stayed away for a few more days, then we could have enjoyed a beautiful White Christmas. Call me an old romantic, but I still get a tingle at the thought of pulling the curtains back on Christmas morning and seeing that during the night we have had a heavy snowfall and everything has that magical feeling about it.
Of course we all know that it will probably be pouring with rain and blowing a gale outside, so therefore totally miserable. Mind you that means I can get our coal fire stoked up and enjoy a cosy afternoon sitting in the lounge watching Eastenders and Coronation Street.
Oh the joys of Christmas, it doesn’t get much better does it?
Well as a matter of fact it does. I have already picked up lots of travel brochures so I can work my way through them and see where I can be heading for my next holiday.
I have such a selection, Safari Holidays, Kenya Holidays, Florida Holidays, Las Vegas holidays, you name the destination, I probably have the brochure.
I really enjoy looking through brochures to see what kind of adventure I could be planning and what sort of hotel I could choose. Some of the hotels are so plush that you can choose to book an all inclusive deal. At the other end of the spectrum you could choose to book something completely unique and spend your evenings in a tent enjoying the beautiful night sky. Personally I enjoy my creature comforts and lovely as the night sky may be, I need a proper roof over my head.
It doesn't matter where I go on holiday, I know I will have a brilliant time and enjoy new adventures.
